The brief: This town garden was created for a busy professional who enjoyed entertaining but who also wanted to spend time tending the plants. The existing garden felt narrow and dated. The new design divides it into three areas using bespoke steel screens which also give a feeling of greater width to the garden. A circle of artificial lawn is surrounded by a low yew hedge. Structural planting provides year round interest, with herbaceous perennials filling the gaps. In front of the new garden office is a circular area which is perfect for dining in privacy.
